Event Statistics
- These statistics are provided for the benefit of event organisers. The number of times an event is viewed will relate to how much interest there was in that event. In general, this will be reflected in the number of people who subsequently attend that event. This relationship between number of views and number of attendees does not always follow. For example, a South Island event may have only a small number of views but have a large number of attendees. In this case this reflects the fact that at this stage, the site gets more traffic from the Auckland region than from other regions but with time it will become equally popular across all regions.
The columns titled "Add", "Forward" and "Reminder" are highly significant because if someone has added an event to their calendar (Add), forwarded the details of the event to someone else (Forward) or set an e-mail reminder for themselves (Reminder) then they are obviously more than just casually interested in this event. Events with a smaller number of views but which have entries in these three columns can be reasonably assured that the people who took these actions have decided to attend the event after reading details of the event from this site. In the current climate of reduced attendees for many events, every additional attendee is important.
